Our Story

AJ Family Support Foundation was created by families who live this journey every day—parents, educators, and medical professionals raising and supporting children with disabilities. Our work is shaped by real family experiences and a deep understanding of what it takes to support children and caregivers over time.

Inspired by Avi, Jimena, and the many children who demonstrate strength, love, and resilience, the foundation was established to respond to the real needs families face. Their experiences inform our focus on reducing barriers, increasing access, and creating opportunities for meaningful participation and connection.

We believe children thrive when their families are supported, informed, and empowered. When caregivers have access to clear information, inclusive opportunities, and supportive communities, families are better positioned to advocate, participate, and build fulfilling lives together.

Through caregiver-informed education, inclusive community initiatives, and collaborative partnerships, AJ Family Support Foundation works to expand access, promote belonging, and support joyful experiences for children and their families—across a wide range of abilities, communication styles, and support needs.

Our Mission

To uplift families raising children with disabilities by increasing access, reducing barriers, and creating opportunities for joyful, meaningful experiences.

Our Vision

A community where every child—regardless of ability, communication style, or support needs—can fully participate, explore, and thrive alongside their families.
