Who We Help
(Eligibility & Service Area)

AJ Family Support Foundation supports families raising children with disabilities by providing educational resources, navigation guidance, and referrals to community supports.

Our mission is to reduce barriers and help caregivers make informed decisions.

Primary Service Area

Our primary focus is Las Vegas and Clark County, Nevada.

We also provide general educational resources and guidance to families across the state of Nevada. While some information may be helpful to families outside Nevada, our navigation support is primarily Nevada-focused.

 

Who May Benefit From Our Resources

  • You may benefit from our services if you are:

  • A parent, guardian, or caregiver of a child with a diagnosed or suspected disability

  • Seeking help understanding Medicaid, waiver programs, SSI, or insurance coverage

  • Navigating early intervention, therapy services, or special education (IEP process)

  • Looking for caregiver education, planning tools, or local support resources

  • Trying to understand next steps after a denial or delay in services

 

Types of Disabilities We Commonly Address

We primarily support families with children from birth through adolescence. Some resources may also apply during transition planning into adulthood.

  • Children requiring significant supervision or adaptive equipment

What We Do Not Provide

To maintain clarity and protect families:

  • We do not provide legal advice

  • We do not provide medical advice

  • We do not provide crisis intervention or emergency services

  • We do not determine eligibility for government programs

  • We do not submit applications on behalf of families
